Really bright, in fact a bit too bright in the dark as it illuminates the back of the whole car. It says on the box about needing 3x AA batteries BUT it fails to mention the remote also requires a battery as it needs a 23A battery which can be found on Amazon for approx £1 or maybe a little bit more such as 4x 23A batteries for £5.
